#7 Hitting Season in the Valley: Nick Stanley

Nick_stanley_sfcc_2007 Nick Stanley led the New Market Rebels all year at the plate, finishing at 325/403/461 in 154 at-bats. He led the Rebels in hitting, at-bats, hits, doubles (he led the league with 15), RBIs, total bases, and tied for the lead in on-base percentage and home runs. He certainly left his mark in New Market, so to speak.

Baseball America noticed as well, as they named Nick the #3 prospect in the league. He was the top catcher listed.  Nick spent his first two college years at South Florida Community College, but he is transferring to North Carolina State for his junior year.  He will give the Wolfpack another excellent left-handed bat in the lineup.

(Nick's statistics from South Florida CC were not available)
