As stated earlier in this space, there aren't many Loudoun Rangers remaining in pro ball. Josh Papelbon (04) was one of the last remaining, and he was released recently by the Boston Red Sox.
However, Josh's career isn't over yet. The Broxton (doh) Brockton Rox of the Can-Am League (an independent league) have recently signed Josh.
Josh, a 48th round draft pick in the 2006 draft, pitched for four years in the minors, going 15-15, 3.56, with 34 saves, a 1.27 WHIP, 2.7 BB/9, and 7.3 K/9 in 240 innings.
Good luck at the next stop, Josh, and thanks to Patrick for the tip!
