Next stop: on-base percentage! Remember, folks, that this is from 2004-2010.
| On-Base Percentage | ||||
| 1 | Luke Greinke | Winchester | 2007 | 0.517 |
| 2 | Mike Schwartz | Harrisonburg | 2009 | 0.508 |
| 3 | Tyler Townsend | Winchester | 2008 | 0.500 |
| 4 | Jason Kipnis | Covington | 2007 | 0.498 |
| 5 | Tommy Oravetz | Covington | 2006 | 0.497 |
| 6 | Kenny Mickens | New Market | 2009 | 0.484 |
| 7 | Jon Love | Front Royal | 2004 | 0.475 |
| 8 | Tom Hagan | Covington | 2005 | 0.466 |
| 9 | Aaron Dudley | Winchester | 2009 | 0.463 |
| Cory Spangenberg | Winchester | 2010 | 0.463 |
Greinke was also first in batting average. Three players reached base more than half of their plate appearances, in three different years. Winchester leads the way again (they get good hitters!) with four, Covington has three, and Harrisonburg, New Market, and Covington all have one.
Schwartz was drafted in the 17th round in 2010, Townsend and Kipnis were drafted in 2009, Hagan was drafted in 2006, and Dudley was signed as a free agent in 2010.
Mickens and Spangenberg, of course, still have a shot in the future.
So what's the story on Jon Love in 2004?
Jon Love story is injuries!!! I started with a broken hand at University of Kentucky in 2002 transfered to Kennesaw state university in 2003 and was second team all-american. Broke my leg in december 2003 and had a terrible 2004 season at kennesaw. Went to Front Royal Healthy and had a great summer, went back to kennesaw in and was having a good season till I ran into a concrete outfield wall in NC and missed 6 weeks with a concussion. Had a chance to play some independent ball but passed on the account I knew I was to old and broken at that point to make it a career. I live in savannah ga now and work in the medical sales field.

Thanks for checking in, Jon! Your name is all over the record book for the league over the past seven years. I always wondered what happened in the rest of your career. Take care- JLL
